Heaven and Hell
I'm very pleased to post the results of my most recent project. Under instructor Jeremy Shellhorn, I was presented the problem of redesigning Heaven and Hell, a "compendium of myth, legend, wisdom, and wit for saints and sinners." My strategy involved altering the book's format from that of a small, quick, "toilet reader," to a visually stunning and functionally readable textbook, capable of successfully juxtaposing its compelling content with bold typography and classic imagery.
The final prototype is a hand-crafted and self-bound hardcover, 21.5 x 13 inches (in spread format). Be sure to click the thumbnails for larger images. Enjoy!

Public Typography Project: Highway Gothic
Check out some spreads from my recently completed public typography project. My subject matter focused on the typeface Highway Gothic, found on America's roadway signage for the past half-century. For this specific project, our professor entrusted all research, writing, photography, and design responsibilities to the designer. Enjoy!

Branding Work: LiveSimply Campaign
The LiveSimply campaign, aimed at addressing the future of sustainability at the University of Kansas, is a product of the esteemed KU Journalism Department. I joined on as the design director for the team mid-semester and it's really been great to watch the project come together.
Here is some of the branding work. More to come later.

Guest Post on EnoughProject.org
Many thanks to every one at the Enough Project organization. They were so kind as to feature my advocacy campaign work, "The New Blood Diamonds", on their blog. Be sure to check out the post AND the site as a whole - the Conflict Minerals Act was introduced just a few days ago and now is a great time to help out the cause.
